About CareerBold | Why We Built This Program
About CareerBold

It was never a knowledge problem.

Why a language teacher built a program around the moment students go silent, not the grammar they already know.

Summaiya Shakeel studied English deeply, a BA in Communicative English and an MA in English Language Teaching, both from AMU, followed by a B.Ed. But the real education came from the classroom, teaching at PlanetSpark, then at Sidrah Shine School, sitting across from student after student who clearly understood English on paper and still froze the moment they had to speak it out loud.

“The fear isn’t about the language. It’s about getting it wrong in front of people.”

And underneath that, a second issue most schools never really address: English gets taught as a subject to clear an exam, not as a language you actually use, so a lot of students never get the kind of real practice that builds genuine fluency.

Her MA dissertation looked at a related question from a different angle, a cross-cultural study of how Indian and Arabic speakers of English actually apologise and make requests. What stayed with her from that research is something she brings into every CareerBold session: communication isn’t just about grammatically correct sentences, it’s about choosing the right words to say something politely, confidently, and appropriately for the moment, and that’s exactly the part most English classrooms skip.

CareerBold exists to close both gaps, the fear of speaking up and the skill of choosing the right words, together. Live sessions where stumbling over a sentence is normal, not embarrassing. A structure that treats speaking English the way you’d actually learn a language, through use, not memorisation.

What Makes Us Different

Built on two real problems, not one

Two problems, one program

Most programs only tackle confidence or only tackle grammar. CareerBold addresses the fear of speaking wrong and the actual mechanics of how you pick up a second language, together.

Taught by someone who has done this work

Summaiya holds a BA and MA in English Language Teaching from AMU, with a B.Ed, and has taught at PlanetSpark and Sidrah Shine School.

Live, every time

Every session runs on Google Meet with real back and forth, not a recorded video you watch alone.

Small batches grouped by where you are

Foundation, Intermediate, and Advanced match a Class 10 student’s nerves to a different starting point than a final-year student walking into placement interviews.

Who this is for

Students from Class 10 through final-year college who want to speak English fluently, present themselves with confidence, and walk into interviews, group discussions, and classrooms without hesitation.

Summaiya Shakeel, founder of CareerBold
I’ve sat across from too many students who knew the answer and still couldn’t get it out, not because they didn’t know English, but because they were scared of getting it wrong in front of someone. I built CareerBold because that fear is fixable, and because the way most of us were taught English in school was never built to actually make us speak it. This is the program I wished existed when I was starting out, and the one I now get to teach.
